Madison, WI. - (July 9, 2008) - Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in
serving science, has launched a new web site to provide detailed information on
near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and the Thermo Scientific NIR product family. This
informative and user-friendly web site, www.thermo.com/nir, has been designed to
serve as the most comprehensive point of reference for all NIR spectroscopy users.

The new web site facilitates quick and easy navigation through a wealth of
information about the entire range of Thermo Scientific NIR solutions and an
extensive selection of NIR applications. Detailed descriptions of each application
are provided and theory is further supported using experimental examples to first
help users determine if NIR is the best technique for their individual application
requirements and then decide on the most appropriate instrument to buy.

In addition, the web site provides visitors with a learning center that offers a
wide range of interactive tools, including an \"Ask the Experts\"
